Hello and welcome!
My name is Anna, I am a graduate in Classics from Oxford University. I have a deep, long-standing, pretty much incurable passion for art and culture, in all their forms (painting, theatre, dance, photography, literature). Possibly even more incurably, I like writing about them.
I opened this blog in November 2013, to share my passion with other people. I wanted to have a white canvas on which to sketch thoughts and ideas about art and culture. I gather here any articles and reviews I write, of anything from theatre shows to art exhibitions.
Among other things, you’ll find:
• Art reviews, sometimes reposted from The Oxford Culture Review, for which I have been Art Editorial Assistant for two years
• Theatre reviews, sometimes reposted from Theatre Bubble, A Younger Theatre, and Litro Magazine, to which I contribute regularly
• Thoughts from my travels connected to the art world, including a diary of my experience working for the non-profit art gallery Farjam Foundation in Dubai
• Articles from my #bitesize series, reviewing art galleries in under 300 words
I believe that art can improve our life – or, at least, inspire it. Take a moment to browse through, and see if you get inspired too.
